Photos: 8 signs in 2019 confirming climate change frighteningly real

Some parts of Victoria Fall now dry because of drought Climate change is happening, it’s real. And it’s man made. Let doubters such as US President Donald Trump know: this is truth most evident. The evidence is overwhelming — our planet is changing faster than it ever has before. Here are some stories in 2019 demonstrating how Earth’s climate has gone completely off the rails. "> The iconic Victoria Falls as we know it Polar Bear invasion: Earlier this year, 52 hungry polar bears occupied a small work settlement in a remote Russian Arctic archipelago, much to the displeasure of the town’s residents. It’s not uncommon to see polar bears near Russia’s southern coasts, where they regularly converge in winter for seasonal seal hunts. But thinning sea ice caused by global warming likely drove the bears inland in search of food. The allure of edible waste in the town’s garbage bins and dump sites likely stopped the bears from migrating farther north and prompted regional officials to...

Climate change, present danger – UN Chief

Image
The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, on Monday, said that climate change was not only a long-term problem but also, a clear and present danger. Guterres made this known in a special New Year’s message to people around the world. According to him, the world is entering the New Year, 2020, with uncertainty and insecurity, persistent inequality and rising hatred, a warring world and a warming planet. He said that that the present generation could not afford to be that which fiddled while the planet burned but there was hope. “My New Year’s message is to the greatest source of that hope: the world’s young people. “From climate action to gender equality to social justice and human rights, your generation is on the frontlines and in the headlines. “I am inspired by your passion and determination, you are rightly demanding a role in shaping the future and I am with you.

The findings of the report -- written by a commission created in June by the director general of the group, Eduardo Robles-Gil -- spans from the group's founding in 1941 until December 16, 2019. The vast majority of the victims were adolescent boys between 11 and 16 years old," the statement said, published on ceroabusos.org, which is supported by the Legionaries of Christ. The report notes that 18 of the 33 individuals who committed abuses are still part of the organization, but says they have been removed from tasks connected to the public or...

Sorry Rick Perry, Trump is not the 'chosen one' (opinion)

Rick Perry, as well as being energy secretary, is also a bit of a self-styled theologian, as we saw on Fox Newsthis past weekend. He told viewers that President Trump was installed in the Oval Office by God. Perry said he was a "big believer" that the Lord involves himself in the "details of the day-to-day lives of government," having picked Obama, too. Mr. Perry says he told Trump to his face that he was "the chosen one." RELATED Trump is ‘the chosen one, sent by God to do great things,’ says president’s adviser This notion has been going around the administration like a strange virus. Trump's former press secretary, Sarah Sanders, saw God's hand in picking Trump, as did Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who was asked by a Christian Broadcasting Network interviewer: "Could it be that President Trump right now has been sort of raised for such a time as this, just like Queen Esther, to help save the Jewish people from the Iranian menace?"Pom...

Inside the US government's top-secret bioweapons lab

Dugway Proving Ground tests and stores some of the deadliest chemical and biological agents on earth. The facility, which opened in 1942, covers about 800,000 acres - larger than the state of Rhode Island. Past experiments include weaponized mosquitoes and fleas, as well as tests with deadly diseases such as anthrax. Narrator : In 1968, about 6,000 sheep died near this government facility. They were poisoned by a chemical weapon named VX. The US hasn't been known to actively use VX in combat. In fact, it's begun destroying its stockpile of chemical munitions as part of a UN treaty. But it's just one of many strange and secretive experiments that happened within these walls. Experiments on sheep, mosquitoes, and even civilians. About 85 miles southwest of Salt Lake City is the US government's top-secret bioweapons lab. It's called the Dugway Proving Ground. The 77-year-old facility covers about 800,000 acres. That's just a little larger than the entire state of R...

Tesla CEO Elon Musk unveiled Cybertruck , the company's first passenger truck, on Thursday night.

During the presentation, Musk took shots at traditional makers in his usual fashion. "We've always focused on serving our truck customers regardless of what others say or do," a Ford spokesperson told Business Insider. Elon Musk didn't hold back on his usual criticism of traditional automakers as he  unveiled Tesla's long-awaited Crybertruck on Thursday  . But Ford doesn't seem to scared. "Trucks have been the same for a very long time, like 100 years," Musk told the crowd at Tesla's design center in Hawthorne, California. "We wanted to try something different." After showing the Tesla truck could withstand more damage from a sledgehammer than a regular truck's door, Musk said "You want a truck that's really tough, not fake tough." That might be the case, but for America's consumers, the truck they've wanted for decades has been the Ford F-150. In response to Musk's shade at it and other automakers, Ford se...

Leader of Syrian Kurds tells US 'you are leaving us to be slaughtered'

The commander of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces told a senior US diplomat, "You are leaving us to be slaughtered," demanding to know whether the US is going to do anything to protect Syrian Kurds as Turkey continues its military operation targeting America's Kurdish allies in Syria. "You have given up on us. You are leaving us to be slaughtered," Gen. Mazloum Kobani Abdi told the Deputy Special Envoy to the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS, William Roebuck, in a meeting Thursday, according to an internal US government readout that has been obtained exclusively by CNN. "You are not willing to protect the people, but you do not want another force to come and protect us. You have sold us. This is immoral," Mazloum added. He insisted the US either help stop the Turkish attack or allow the Syrian Democratic Forces to strike a deal with the Assad regime in Damascus and their Russian backers, allowing Russian warplanes to enforce a no-fly zone ov...

Nigeria’s ambassador in Russia, Stephen Ogbah, said, “We’re sure that with Russian help we’ll manage to crush Boko Haram given its experience combating Islamic State in Syria.” The Buhari administration had in 2018 paid $496m for the purchase of two Tucano jets from the United States, which it said would be delivered in 2020. According to Ogbah, Nigeria is interested in buying Russian helicopters, planes, tanks and other military equipment, adding that a draft version of the deal had already been finalised. He added, “We hope President Buhari can take the talks to their logi...

WAR TRUTH

War is destroying our economy  But war is great for the  super-elites … so they want to keep it going. And America’s never-ending wars are hurting our national security. Never-ending wars are also destroying our freedom. The Founding Fathers warned against standing armies, saying that they destroy freedom. Bankers Hate Peace: All Wars Are Bankers’ Wars Wars are the fastest way for banks to create more debt  and therefore to make more profit. No wonder they love war. War is also good for banks because a lot of material, equipment, buildings and infrastructure get destroyed in war. So countries go into massive debt to finance war, and then borrow a ton more to rebuild. The advent of central banks hasn’t changed this formula. Specifically, the big banks (“primary dealers”) loan money to the Fed, and charge interest for the loan. So when a nation like the U.S. gets into a war, the Fed pumps out money for the war effort based upon loan...

ADVICE TO MY FELLOW MEN ABOUT THEIR PREGNANT WIVES

I am a man,but today I want us to discuss about PREGNANCY. Do you know that certain things you do when your wife is pregnant actually contributes to state of health of the mother and unborn child? Listen, it bothers me a lot when I see men showing no concern to their pregnant wife or fail to adjust to some temporary changes!!! It's just 9 months, not like it's forever. Pregnancy is not bought in the market, neither is it a software downloaded from the internet. It's a seed planted by us men and is germinating. There has to be a carrier of that seed while it grows, and women have been given the responsibility to carry it. Pregnancy is preparation to welcome a new member into the family. Pregnancy is a journey fun filled, amazing etc. Women differ in body changes. Although Pregnancy makes women do certain things in common. ■Once in a while she would nag ■Once in a while she would request for things unimaginable e.g she wants to eat okro and bread ■Once in a ...

2 million people ready to storm Area 51. Now he’s planning an alien festival.

The call to raid an Air Force base for aliens was a joke, drawing on decades of conspiracy theories. Then 2 million people signed on to the  Facebook event . Authorities warned against any attempt to enter the base. And now, unless plans go awry, hordes of strangers will, indeed, gather in the Nevada desert next month near a secretive government facility called Area 51. The man who created the Internet sensation, Storm Area 51 — They Can’t Stop All of Us, is planning a real-life festival called Alien Stock near the remote base within the Nevada Test and Training Range, a couple hours’ drive northwest of Las Vegas. The three-day festival set to start Sept. 20, a celebration of aliens that promises surprise performances, art installations and camping, is expected to pack a tiny town already overrun by media attention and a spike in extraterrestrial enthusiasm. With just over a month left to plan and some residents reportedly less than thrilled about the attentio...

Police said at least four officers had been wounded. Officers fired teargas, stun grenades and rubber bullets in the worst violence at the contested site in months. Witnesses said at least two people had been arrested. The clashes come at a time of heightened tensions between Israel and Palestine, just days after an Israeli soldier was killed south of Jerusalem. Israeli troops  killed four Palestinian s who the army said had attempted to cross the Gaza border  on Saturday. Tens of thousands of Muslims had gathered at the site in Jerusalem’s Old City early on Sunday for holiday prayers, police said. Jews were also observing the Ninth of Av on Sunday, a day of ...
